So, the Neutralists (our rockstar team of scientists, farmers, chefs, writers, gardeners, parents, and nature lovers) put their heads together and hatched a plan. We would work with farmers to create sustainable, win-win change on dairy farms across the country.
How We’re Carbon Neutral
When we say neutral, we mean certified carbon neutral! That means we’ve accounted for all carbon emissions associated with the life cycle of our products and reduced them through verified on-farm projects and offsets.
From the food dairy cows eat, to packaging, shipping, and refrigeration, and all the way through to how Neutral is consumed and its packaging disposed of, we make choices and practice better habits that reduce our carbon footprint (and yours, too, as a Neutral consumer).
We proudly invest in our dairy farmers and their farms, creating new emissions reduction projects that equate to less methane in the air for all of us. Believe it or not, this can start as simply as planting unique forage for dairy cows that gives them less gas—a subject we’re not shy about discussing, since it hugely impacts our carbon footprint! And since we’re still building up our base of farm projects, when we can’t completely offset Neutral’s footprint, we buy verified offsets to cover the rest.
