Climate Week Recap
As the climate crisis intensifies, climate experts, NGOs and companies participated in Climate Week NYC last month to work together as part of the world’s largest global climate event.
Neutral was in New York to tell the world about our solutions to radically reduce the carbon footprint of agriculture. We collaborated with We Don't Have Time as part of their Climate Week NYC broadcast that reached more than 10.5 million viewers globally.
Here are our top take-aways from Neutral’s panel, “It’s Not the Cow, It’s the How,” featuring Ann Radil, head of carbon reduction, Marcus Lovell Smith, CEO, and moderator Sweta Chakraborty, head of U.S. Operations for We Don’t Have Time. To watch the whole conversation, click here.
Neutral focuses on animal proteins, instead of plant-based options, because more than 90% of U.S. households have dairy products.
Farmers are the heart of Neutral. Every project we develop on farm begins with a conversation with the producer, so we can tailor eco-friendly solutions to individual farms.
A simple thing like a glass of milk at the breakfast table can make a big impact. We’re trying to make that change easy.
Today agriculture and our food system contribute globally up to 37 percent of greenhouse gas emissions.
Our farmers are willing to do the hard work - they just need help getting there. Neutral is here for them.
Choosing Neutral means choosing farmers. We’re investing $1 million this year in on-farm projects that reduce greenhouse gases.
Neutral is partnering on innovative farm projects like adding seaweed to feed, reducing livestock methane emissions by over 80%, and working with women-led livestock producer Carman Ranch, a leader in regenerative agriculture.
Neutral’s covenant with the consumer is we will work together to change the course of agriculture – for good.
